NTU and the Medical University of Vienna, Austria (MUV), have signed an agreement to set up a joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Medical Imaging and Signal Analysis. The joint PhD programme will leverage on the complementary strengths of both universities in key research areas such as magnetic and nuclear imaging, optical imaging, signal analysis, and computational methods in medicine.
Students will be jointly supervised, assessed, and will be conferred a PhD degree under the seals of NTU and MUV issued together as a single degree certificate. Student will be based in his/her home university where his/her primary supervisor is located, and is required to spend minimum one-year residency (attachment) in partner university during the PhD candidature working on research. It is especially suitable for those whose research will reap maximum benefits from the collaborative research between NTU and MUV.
